Between 1979 and 1981, 29 children and young black men were killed in a series of murders that terrorized the city in a case known as the "Atlanta Child Killings."  In 1982, Wayne Williams was convicted of two of the murders.  In this dramatization, Sheen plays a former police officer who joins the defense team of the convicted murderer.
