This story of urban decay involves the residents of a middle class apartment building surrounded by a high crime neighborhood.  They complain, they talk, and then they hire a security expert, played by Gossett.   Venturing out at night, Hyatt encounters a gang of thugs who are so smugly assured of his fear that they don't even utter words of intimidation.   It is enough for their leader to tap his own wrist to indicate that Hyatt should surrender his expensive watch quickly.
