Character: Joe
The story of a lawyer who supports the founders of the Mission of Hope in their battle to prevent their homesless shelter from being bulldozed by an ambitious land developer. Martin puts in a special appearance as "Homeless Joe" and he uses his approximately five minutes of screen time to its fullest advantage. His performance is heart wrenching as he portrays a totally despondent man, down and out, disoriented and exhausted. For him the Mission of Hope is his only hope.
