The dramatization of the true story of Jean Donovan, who evolved from a free-spirited college student to a deeply committed lay missionary, giving up her family and friends to work on behalf of the poor in El Salvador.   In December 1980, she and three Maryknoll nuns were slain by members of El Salvador's National Guard.  Sheen portrays the Irish priest who was Donovan's inspiration.
